I am an Associate Professor at the Computer Science Department (DEI) and at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department (DEEC) at Instituto Superior Técnico. I am also the VP of AI Research at Unbabel in Lisbon, Portugal, and a Senior Researcher at the Instituto de Telecomunicações, where I lead the SARDINE Lab.

I am an assistant professor in Natural Language Processing at the University of Edinburgh and a visiting professor at NVIDIA. Previously, I was a visiting postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University and a postdoctoral fellow in computer science at Mila - Quebec AI Institute in Montreal. In 2021, I obtained a PhD from the University of Cambridge, St John’s College.

I’m a Computer Science PhD student at Instituto Superior Técnico. My research interests include Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Currently, I’m studying how to efficiently adapt natural language models for diverse tasks.

I am a third-year PhD student with the UK Research & Innovation Centre for Doctoral Training in Natural Language Processing at the University of Edinburgh. I am fortunate to be supervised by Edoardo Maria Ponti and Ivan Titov. I am part of the EdinburghNLP group.

I’m a Electrical Engineering PhD student at Instituto Superior Técnico. My research interests include Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Artificial Intelligence. Currently, I’m studying how to develop neural models of associative memory and long-term memory.
